Welcome to the World of Learning at Kingdom Seed Christian Academy

We’re so glad you’re here and excited to share what makes our curriculum and learning model at Kingdom Seed Christian Academy so special. Our approach is all about giving your child the tools and opportunities to thrive, explore, and grow in a way that’s meaningful and fun. Let’s dive into what makes our learning experience one-of-a-kind and why it matters for your child’s education.

Learner-Driven Education: Empowering Young Minds

At Kingdom Seed, we believe that learning should be an adventure, not a chore. That’s why we put your child in the driver’s seat of their education. Our learner-driven approach allows students to take charge of their own learning journey, exploring subjects that excite them and discovering their passions.

When children are in control of their learning, they’re more engaged and motivated. This fosters a love of learning and helps them develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and independence.

Self-Paced Academics: Learning at Their Own Speed

We recognize that every child learns at their own pace. Our self-paced academic model lets students move through subjects as quickly or slowly as they need to, ensuring that they fully understand each concept before moving on.

This personalized approach prevents children from feeling rushed or left behind. It builds confidence and ensures that they truly grasp the material, setting a strong foundation for future learning.

Progress Monitoring and Goal Setting: Charting Their Path

We regularly monitor each student’s progress and set goals together. This helps students reflect on their achievements, identify areas for improvement, and set new targets for their learning journey.

Goal setting and progress monitoring empower students to take ownership of their learning. It builds self-awareness, accountability, and a sense of accomplishment as they reach their milestones.

Skill Progressions: Building Strong Foundations

We use skill progressions for reading, writing, and math to ensure that each child builds a strong foundation in these critical areas. Our approach is tailored to each student’s needs, helping them progress at their own pace and reach their full potential.

Strong skills in reading, writing, and math are essential for academic success. By focusing on these areas, we help your child build a solid foundation that supports their learning across all subjects.

Daily 1-on-1 and Small Group Time: Personal Attention

Every day, our teachers meet with each student one-on-one or in small groups to provide personalized support and guidance. This ensures that every child gets the attention they need to thrive.

Personal attention helps us understand and address each child’s unique needs and learning style. It fosters a supportive relationship between teacher and student and ensures that no one falls through the cracks.

Personalized Activities and Games: Fun with Purpose

Our students have the freedom to choose games and activities that align with the skills they need to practice. This makes learning fun and engaging, allowing them to develop their abilities in a way that’s both enjoyable and effective.

When learning is fun, children are more likely to engage and retain what they’ve learned. This approach helps them develop essential skills in a way that feels like play rather than work.

Project-Based Learning:
Learning by Doing

Our curriculum is rooted in project-based learning, where students tackle real-world problems and projects that are meaningful to them. Whether it’s building a model, creating a presentation, or exploring a science experiment, our students learn by doing.

Project-based learning makes education relevant and exciting. It helps your child develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to apply their knowledge in practical ways.

Peer Conferences: Learning from Each Other

We encourage peer conferences where students share their work, give and receive feedback, and learn from each other. This collaborative approach helps students develop communication skills and learn to value diverse perspectives.

Peer conferences build confidence and foster a sense of community. They teach students how to give constructive feedback and learn from others, which are valuable skills for life.

Outdoor Learning: Nature as a Classroom

Who says learning has to stay inside? At Kingdom Seed, we believe that the great outdoors is one of the best classrooms. Our students spend plenty of time outside, exploring nature, conducting experiments, and learning in a hands-on way that’s both fun and educational.

Outdoor learning helps children connect with nature, develop curiosity, and stay active. It enhances their well-being and provides a fresh perspective on the world around them.

Beyond the Classroom: Expanding Horizons

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. We take education beyond the four walls, whether it’s through field trips, community projects, or virtual excursions. This helps our students see the world as their classroom and understand the practical applications of what they’re learning.

Learning beyond the classroom helps children see the bigger picture and understand the relevance of their studies in the real world. It broadens their horizons and enriches their educational experience.

Celebrating Learning: Recognizing Achievements

We love to celebrate our students’ achievements, big and small. Whether it’s a completed project, a new skill, or a personal milestone, we believe in recognizing and celebrating every success.

Celebrating achievements boosts confidence and motivates students to keep striving for excellence. It creates a positive and encouraging learning environment where every child feels valued and proud of their progress.

OUR ACADEMIC CURRICULUM

ANSWERS BIBLE CURRICULUM

This one-of-a-kind Bible curriculum walks through the entire Bible chronologically in four years, traces the gospel throughout all of history, teaches relevant real-world apologetics, and is synchronized through multiple grade levels.

ABC Curriculum doesn’t teach a collection of Bible stories. Rather, this curriculum teaches students that the Bible is the history book of the universe. Each account is treated as a real event that truly happened, just as the Bible describes.

By looking at the chronological history described in the Bible, students will be equipped to stand on the foundation of God’s Word, defend their faith, and discuss how each account connects to the larger narrative and God’s redemptive plan.

FUNDAMENTALS Preschool Curriculum is a developmentally appropriate, activity based curriculum for children ages 3-5 that focuses on the FUNDAMENTAL skills children not only need to learn but are also excited to learn!

PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

PHONICS, SPELLING, TYPING CURRICULUM

Play ‘N Talk is a proven phonics program with a 59+ year track record of teaching children how to read and spell.

PLAY 'N TALK WORKS FOR ALL TYPES OF LEARNERS!

Your child will gain self-confidence and develop a love for reading!

SELF-PACED

Your child will go at their own pace with only two 10 min sessions per academic day!

We introduce concepts to your child at the right time. Most of today’s phonics programs concentrate on learning all of the rules and sounds in the beginning of their program. This is not best for your child so we do it differently. Using Play ‘n Talk’s signature Spiral Method, we introduce the concepts when your child is developmentally ready to handle them.

MULTIPLE LEARNING STYLES

It stimulates multiple learning styles at once (kinesthetic, auditory, or visual).

Children hear the lessons, see the lessons, speak the lessons through choral reading, and play games and reinforcement activities.

STUDENT RESULTS

Able to Read, College Level of reading, high school level of spelling, aligned with Charlotte Mason & Orton Gillingham.

Learners with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Auditory Processing, ADHD, Speech challenges, and many other challenges are thriving on Play ‘n Talk.
